Terms of Service — Finosutra

    Important: Finosutra provides calculation and reference tools for finance professionals. Our tools are not a substitute for professional Chartered Accountant advice. Outputs should be verified by a qualified CA before use in statutory filings, audits or financial statements.
  

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any Finosutra product, tool, template or resource ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and Finosutra, operated from Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

2. Description of Services

Finosutra provides web-based finance automation tools, including but not limited to:

IND AS 116 / IFRS 16 Lease Accounting Calculator
Fixed Asset Register (coming soon)
GST Reconciliation tools (coming soon)
Excel templates, financial calculators, and training resources

Services are browser-based. No software installation is required. Availability of specific features may vary based on your subscription plan.

3. Professional Disclaimer

Not Professional Advice. All outputs generated by Finosutra tools — including lease schedules, amortization tables, journal entries, calculations, and reports — are provided for reference and educational purposes only. They do not constitute professional chartered accountancy, legal, tax or financial advice.

Finosutra tools are designed to assist qualified finance professionals. Users are solely responsible for:

Verifying all calculation outputs against applicable accounting standards
Ensuring compliance with IND AS, IFRS, Companies Act, GST law and other applicable regulations
Obtaining independent professional advice before using outputs in statutory filings, audits or financial statements
Accuracy of input data entered into the tools

4. User Accounts and Eligibility

Currently, Finosutra tools are accessible without creating an account. You represent that:

You are at least 18 years of age
You are using the Services for lawful professional or educational purposes
You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute our tools or their underlying code

5. Payments and Refunds

Excel Export (₹99 per download): A one-time payment of ₹99 is charged for downloading the premium audit-ready Excel report from the IND AS 116 tool. Each payment authorises a single download session.

Subscription Plans: Pro (₹999/month) and Team (₹2,499/month) plans grant access to premium features as described on our pricing page. Subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time; access continues until the end of the paid billing period.

Payment Processing: All payments are processed by Razorpay. We accept UPI, credit/debit cards, net banking and wallets. By making a payment, you also agree to Razorpay's terms of service.

Refund Policy: Due to the digital and instant-delivery nature of our products, we generally do not offer refunds for completed transactions. If you believe a payment was charged in error, please contact us within 7 days at fino.sutra07@gmail.com and we will review your case in good faith.

GST: Prices displayed are inclusive of applicable GST. A GST invoice is available on request for Team plan subscribers.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Finosutra platform — including tool designs, calculation logic, Excel templates, training materials, graphics, and text — is the intellectual property of Finosutra and is protected under applicable Indian copyright law.

You may use downloaded outputs (Excel reports, PDFs) for your own professional work. You may not:

Resell, sublicense or redistribute Finosutra tools or templates
Copy or replicate the tool's design or code for competing products
Remove or alter any Finosutra branding from downloaded reports

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Finosutra shall not be liable for:

Any financial loss, regulatory penalty, or audit finding arising from reliance on tool outputs
Errors in calculations resulting from incorrect input data provided by the user
Indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages of any kind
Interruption of service due to maintenance, technical issues, or force majeure

Our total liability in any circumstance shall not exceed the amount you paid to Finosutra in the 30 days preceding the claim.

8. Accuracy of Calculations

Our tools implement standard interpretations of IND AS 116, IFRS 16 and other applicable frameworks. However, accounting standards are subject to interpretation, amendment and regulatory guidance. Finosutra makes no warranty that our calculations will be accepted by any auditor, regulator, or tax authority in every circumstance.

We continuously update our tools to reflect standard changes, but users should verify that they are using the most current version and that the applicable standard has not changed since their last use.

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use Finosutra Services to:

Commit fraud, misrepresent financial information, or engage in any unlawful activity
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or disrupt service availability
Scrape, crawl or systematically extract content from our platform
Impersonate Finosutra or misrepresent your affiliation with us

10. Modifications to Services and Terms

Finosutra reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of our Services at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes to subscription features.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of Finosutra Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
