Finosutra ("we", "us", "our") is a finance automation SaaS platform operated from Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. We provide web-based finance tools, Excel templates, calculators and educational resources for CAs, CFOs, accountants and finance teams.

2. Information We Collect
a) Contact & Waitlist Forms
When you fill out our contact or waitlist forms, we collect your name, email address, and role (e.g., CA, CFO). This is used solely to respond to your enquiry or notify you of product launches.
b) Payment Information
Payments for premium features (e.g., Excel export at ₹99) are processed by Razorpay. We do not collect, store or have access to your card number, UPI ID, or any financial payment credentials. Razorpay's own privacy policy governs payment data.
c) Calculator Inputs
All calculation inputs you enter in our tools (lease terms, payment amounts, IBR, dates, etc.) are processed entirely within your browser. We do not transmit, store, or retain any of this data on our servers.
d) Usage Data
We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (e.g., page views, browser type) through standard web analytics tools to improve our products. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your contact form enquiries or demo requests
- To notify you when new products or features you signed up for become available
- To process payments via Razorpay and deliver purchased reports or resources
- To improve our tools and user experience based on aggregated, anonymous usage patterns
- To comply with applicable Indian laws and regulations
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services whose privacy policies govern their respective data handling:

- Google Fonts — font delivery. Google may log the request IP. See policies.google.com/privacy
5. Data Retention
Contact and waitlist form data submitted via Netlify forms is retained for a maximum of 12 months or until you request deletion. Payment records are retained by Razorpay as required by applicable law.
Since we do not store calculation data, there is no calculation data to retain or delete.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate personal data
- Request deletion of your personal data from our records
- Withdraw consent for communications at any time

7. Cookies
Our website does not use tracking cookies. We use browser-session memory only for in-tool calculations, which is cleared when you close your tab. Third-party services (Razorpay, Google Fonts) may set their own cookies subject to their respective policies.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited personal data we hold. Our website is served over HTTPS. Payment processing is handled exclusively by Razorpay's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for finance professionals and are not directed at persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
